Dr. Patil Krishna Vijaykumar

MBBS, MD Medicine, DM Nephrology, Fellowship in Clinical Nephrology from University of Ottawa,Canada. FASN(Fellow of American Society of Nephrology).

Dr.Krishna Patil is a consultant Nephrologist and Kidney Transplant Physician practicing at KIMS Hospitals,Gachibowli. He is trained in most renowned institutes in India(KEM Hospital, Mumbai, Sir JJ Hospital, Mumbai, IPGME&R, Kolkata), and The Ottawa Hospitals, Canada. With a total of 15 years of medical practice and 9 years of Nephrology practice, he is an expert in all Kidney procedures like Native
and Graft Kidney biopsy, Permanent Tunnelled HemoDialysis Catheter placement, percutaneous Peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, all modalities of dialysis like HD(Hemodialysis), HDF (Hemodiafiltration), SLED(Slow low-efficiency dialysis), CRRT(Continuous renal replacement therapy), APD(Automated Peritoneal dialysis), CAPD(Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis).  

Having participated in more than 200 Kidney transplants and worked in specialized Kidney Transplant, Hypertension, and PRI(Progressive renal insufficiency) Clinics in Canada, He now runs Speciality Clinics like Kidney transplant clinic, Specialized Hypertension (BP)Clinic, Special CKD Clinic
and General Nephrology Clinic at the KIMS Hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. He also has his Clinic by the name Shri Balaji Clinic

Achievements

1)Received Research Grant from the International Society of Nephrology in the year 2012.
2) Received Research Grant from the Department of Science and Technology of West Bengal in 2013
3) Did Public Service in the field of Nephrology by screening 10,000 School Children for Hypertension and Asymptomatic Urinary abnormalities. This work was appreciated by the international society of Nephrology and was eye-opening for all, It helped increase awareness about 3% of school children being hypertensive and need to screen them annually especially for above 13-year children. This work got published in KI REPORTS in 2018
4) Presented Research work at ASN WEEK in Atlanta in 2013.
5) Presented Posters and research papers at National and International conferences.
6) Speaker and Chairperson at many national Conferences.
